What if you could run through the heart of Luxembourg City on an Avenue de la Liberté reserved entirely for runners? On Saturday 12th September 2026, LËTZ MILE returns for its second edition. Following the success of its inaugural event, this unique race once again transforms one of the capital’s most iconic avenues into an exceptional playground for running enthusiasts. This year, an exciting new addition enhances the programme: the introduction of a 5 km race, allowing even more participants to experience the spirit of LËTZ MILE.
A race designed for everyone
Whether you’re preparing for your first running challenge, aiming for a personal best, or simply looking to enjoy a sporting experience with friends or family, LËTZ MILE offers a format to suit every runner.
Beginners, experienced runners, club athletes, young talents and elite competitors will all line up at the same starting line to celebrate a shared passion for sport in a friendly and festive atmosphere.
Two distances will be available:
- 1 mile (1,609 m)
- 5 km (New for 2026)

A major innovation for this year’s edition is the addition of a 5 km race.
Open to everyone, this distance allows runners to fully enjoy the event atmosphere while taking on an achievable sporting challenge. The course will include the iconic Avenue de la Liberté, offering a unique urban setting and an immersive experience in the heart of Luxembourg City.
Whether you’re a regular road runner or looking for a fresh sporting goal, this new format is the perfect opportunity to join the adventure.

The festivities begin in the afternoon with the youth races, followed by the public races and the much-anticipated elite competitions.
